Hello! My name is I Wayan Legut Suyadnya, but everyone calls me Legut. I was born and raised in Bentuyung Village, a peaceful area just 2.5 kilometers north of Ubud - the cultural heart of Bali.
My tourism journey began unexpectedly. After finishing high school in 1997, a good friend surprised me with a two-month trip to California, USA. I was nervous at first - I didn't speak any English and felt sad to leave my family - but they encouraged me, saying, "Go! It's a golden opportunity."
That trip changed my life. I made many New friends and ended up staying for a full year, studying English (ESL) at Solano Community College in Fairfield, California. Living abroad opened my eyes to new cultures and gave me a deep appreciation for cultural exchange -something that continues to inspire me today.
My Journey as a Driver and Tour Guide. Upon my return to Bali in 1998, I began working as a tour driver, guiding visitors to temples, traditional villages, art centers, and cultural landmarks across the island. For over 27 years, I have loved my job – meeting travelers from all over the world, sharing stories, and helping them experience the real Bali. Many of my guests have become lifelong friends, and some even return year after year to explore more of this beautiful island with me.
Through word-of-mouth recommendations and loyal, returning customers, I decided to create my own travel website: www.gotobalitours.com. This website allows me to connect directly with travelers seeking a personalized, authentic, and memorable Bali experience.
